WHERE ARE THEY NOW? Alondra - Helping Her Community Posted on 29 Mar 13:17 , 0 comments

Hi, my name is Alondra, this is my story. I arrived at the orphanage at 10 years old because of parental separation. It turned out to be a better life for me and my siblings. I have very fond memories of my time at the orphanage, it gave me an amazing life. I met Corazon de Vida in my last year of high school in 2017. I intended to pursue higher education and I was told about the wonderful education program CDV has for university students.

With the support of CDV, I went on to graduate with a degree in Social Work. I was inspired to pursue this area of study because genuinely like to help improve the quality of life of a person and the community at large.  Currently, I’m the head of the Senior Citizens department at SDIF. I completed a year of working and already exercising my career as a social worker. This month of March, I am happy because I officially received my degree and took my oath! In my free time, I enjoy being with my dogs and walking aimlessly.

With great love, Corazon de Vida has helped hundreds of children and adolescents. The foundation’s big heart, as its name indicates (Corazon de Vida: Heart of Life), gave me life. They gave meaning to my future, which became my present moment.

I want to thank the donors who supported me and continue to support hundreds of children and adolescents. You made it possible for me, ALONDRA, to have a career that I love. With great pride, you were fundamental in my growth. Thank you!
